Yes. Upgrading to WhispSocio Pro sets up a monthly Stripe subscription. You keep access to pro perks as long as the subscription stays active, and you can manage renewal or cancellation any time through the billing portal.

Standard members can create posts up to 280 characters and upload media up to 50MB per file. Pro members can create posts up to 5,000 characters and upload media up to 250MB per file.

Pro also adds a profile badge, eligibility for priority on-site discovery indexing, the ability to feature eligible content in recommendations, access to upcoming beta features, and a direct support route.

Priority indexing means WhispSocio can process eligible Pro content sooner inside its own search and discovery systems; it does not guarantee rankings on external search engines. For how featured placement works in Discover and elsewhere, see How does featured content placement work?

Featured placement is a WhispSocio Pro perk. If you have an active Pro membership, you can mark eligible public content as featured to improve its chances of appearing in recommendation-style areas on the site.

What you can feature: posts, photos, videos, live streams, stream replays, events, pages, articles, blogs, and marketplace listings.

How to feature content:

• Check Feature this content when creating or editing eligible items (events, streams, pages, marketplace listings, and similar).
• Use the star button on your own public posts in the feed to turn featured placement on or off later.

Where featured content can appear:

• Discover — in sections such as trending posts, events, marketplace picks, and articles when they match a viewer's interests.
• Feed — in the Recommended picks block at the top of your feed.
• Streams — featured live streams can rank higher in stream listings and may show a Featured badge.

How ranking works: featured content is a boost, not a guarantee. WhispSocio still ranks recommendations primarily by interest match (topics you follow, like, RSVP to, or set in Account Settings), then applies the featured boost, then engagement and recency. So featured items are more likely to rank higher among content that already fits a viewer's interests—not shown to everyone regardless of relevance.

Important limits:

• Only public content can be featured (for example, private or followers-only posts cannot).
• The boost only applies while you still have an active Pro membership.
• Featured placement does not reorder your main chronological feed, create a separate homepage banner, or guarantee external search-engine rankings.

If you have not set interests yet, Discover may show recent popular content instead; featured items can still receive a boost there, but interest matching is not in play until you interact with the site or choose topics.

Stripe bills you in the primary site currency (£GBP). We also show an estimated amount in your selected currency on the membership page so you know what to expect before checkout.

Yes. It is free to join WhispSocio, create a profile, post, browse, follow, comment, apply to become a seller, and list marketplace items.

Fees only apply when paid features are used, such as marketplace sales, creator subscriptions, coin purchases, gifts, profile cosmetics, and payouts. See the Fees page for the current summary.

Listing physical marketplace items is free. When an item sells, WhispSocio currently charges 10% commission for individual sellers and 7% commission for business sellers.

Delivery costs, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, payment provider fees, and payout processing can affect the final amount a seller receives.

WhispSocio currently retains 1% from creator subscriptions. Creators receive 99% before payment provider, tax, refund, chargeback, or payout adjustments.

Subscription prices and benefits should be shown before a user subscribes.

Coin package prices are shown before purchase. Coins are digital balance for selected site features and are not cash.

Profile cosmetics marketplace sales currently have a 10% platform fee, so designers receive 90%. Live stream and battle gift payouts currently have a 20% platform fee where gift payouts are available.

Where a gift creates a streamer payout, Coins are converted into the gift's real-money value and the streamer's net share is credited to their Cash Earnings wallet.

Seller payout processing may carry a 2% fee depending on payout method and account setup. A payout can only be requested once available Cash Earnings reach at least GBP 100.00, or the equivalent shown in the user's selected display currency where available.

Sellers, creators, and eligible streamers can request a payout only when their available Cash Earnings balance is at least GBP 100.00, or the equivalent shown in their selected display currency where available. Admin may raise this threshold, but it will not be set below GBP 100.00.

When you earn real money on WhispSocio, it is credited to your Cash Earnings wallet as pending or available balance. Pending balances may be held while an order completes, a dispute is investigated, or compliance checks run. Available balances can be withdrawn once you meet the minimum threshold and accept the current Cash Earnings & Payout Terms.

Your wallet is not a bank account. Refunds, chargebacks, fees, and policy breaches may reduce or reverse earnings. Full rules are in the Payout Terms and Terms and Conditions.

Creating an account is quick and easy:

WhispSocio uses recommendation algorithms to help you find relevant content—not to manipulate you with hidden engagement tricks.

We combine signals such as:

• Topics you choose in Account Settings → Interests
• Posts you view, like, comment on, or follow
• Events you RSVP to and marketplace items you browse or buy
• Your profile location (city/region) for nearby events and physical marketplace items

These signals power Discover, Recommended sorts on Events and the physical marketplace, and suggested picks on your feed.

WhispSocio Pro members can also mark eligible content as featured for an extra ranking boost in those recommendation areas when the content matches a viewer's interests. See How does featured content placement work? for the full explanation.

Yes. You can edit interest tags in Account Settings, choose non-recommended sorts where available, and contact privacy@whispsocio.com to object to profiling under our Privacy Policy.

Recommendations are not used for legal or similarly significant decisions about you. Safety moderation is separate and may involve human review.

We take safety seriously. To report content:

1. Click the three-dot menu on any post or comment
2. Select "Report"
3. Choose a reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, etc.)
4. Add any additional details
5. Submit - our moderation team will review within 24 hours

You can also block users to prevent them from contacting you.

You control who sees your content! Each post has privacy options:

• Public: Everyone can see (appears on homepage)
• Friends Only: Only people you follow and who follow you
• Private: Only you can see

You can also control your overall profile visibility in Settings → Privacy.

Default: Public posts, but you can change this anytime!

We're sorry to see you go! To delete your account:

1. Go to Settings → Account
2. Scroll to "Danger Zone"
3. Click "Delete Account"
4. Confirm your decision

Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your posts, comments, and XP will be deleted.

No worries! Resetting your password is easy:

1. Go to the login page
2. Click "Forgot Password?"
3. Enter your email address
4. Check your email for a reset code
5. Enter the code and create a new password

Starting a live stream is easy:

1. Click "Streams" in the navigation menu
2. Click "Go Live" button
3. Add a title and description for your stream
4. Choose privacy settings (public/friends only)
5. Allow camera/microphone access when prompted
6. Click "Start Stream" and broadcast!

Requirements:

• Camera or microphone access
• Stable internet connection
• Minimum Level 3 to stream

Earn XP while you stream! Viewers can like and comment in real-time.

To watch live streams:

1. Go to the "Streams" page
2. Browse active streams or search for a specific user
3. Click on any live stream thumbnail
4. Watch, like, and comment in real-time!

Streamers earn bonus XP for every minute viewers watch!

Yes! You have full control over stream privacy:

• Public Streams: Everyone can watch (appear on main streams page)
• Friends Only: Only people who follow you can watch
• Private Streams: Only specific users you invite can watch

Additional Controls:

• Mute specific viewers
• Ban problematic viewers
• Turn off comments temporarily
• End stream at any time

Change privacy settings before or during your stream!

Yes! You can pause your stream for breaks:

1. Click the "Pause" button while streaming
2. Stream goes private - viewers see "Stream paused"
3. Take your break, handle personal matters, etc.
4. Click "Resume" when ready to continue

What happens when paused:

• Viewers notified stream is paused
• Stream doesn't end - just paused
• Audio/video stops broadcasting
• You remain in control

Your stream time continues even while paused!

Absolutely! Streaming is a great way to earn XP:

• +50 XP for starting a stream
• +5 XP per minute while streaming
• +10 XP for every viewer who joins
• +3 XP for each viewer who stays more than 5 minutes
• +20 XP for every comment on your stream
• +15 XP for every like on your stream

Bonus: Stream for 30+ minutes to get a bonus XP multiplier!

Yes! Streams are automatically saved as VODs (Videos On Demand):

• All completed streams are saved to the "VODs" page
• Browse streams from the past 7 days
• Search for specific streamers or topics
• Watch at your own pace with playback controls

For Streamers:

• Enable/disable automatic VOD saving in settings
• Delete specific VODs if you don't want them saved
• VODs remain for 7 days then auto-delete

VODs are a great way to catch up on content you missed!

Stream quality is automatically optimized, but you can adjust it:

1. Go to Streams → Settings before starting your stream
2. Choose your preferred resolution (720p, 1080p, etc.)
3. Select your FPS (frames per second)
4. Choose bitrate based on your internet speed

Recommended Settings:

• Slow Internet: 480p, 30fps
• Good Internet: 720p, 30fps
• Fast Internet: 1080p, 60fps

Quality adjusts automatically if your connection is unstable!

Keeping the community safe is important. To report a stream:

1. Click the three-dot menu on the stream
2. Select "Report Stream"
3. Choose reason: Harassment, Spam, Inappropriate Content, etc.
4. Add any additional details
5. Submit - moderators review within minutes during live streams

What happens:

• Stream may be paused if immediately dangerous
• Moderators review within 15 minutes
• Streamer is notified if action is taken
• You remain anonymous

You can also leave the stream and block the streamer.

Stream battles let another user request to join your live stream, or let you invite valid users from your following and suggested-user lists.

• Viewers can request to join if the streamer has battle requests enabled.
• Streamers can invite people from the battle invite panel.
• Only valid, active accounts should appear in invite suggestions.
• You can accept, reject, remove, or report users who misuse battle features.

Battles still follow the same content, consent, and safety rules as normal live streams.

Live stream cards use a recent snapshot or a streamer-uploaded starting-soon image so viewers can understand what is live before opening it.

• If a stream is paused, viewers see a paused message until the streamer resumes.
• If a stream ends, viewers should see a clear ended message rather than a frozen video.
• If you pause playback as a viewer, the player can show that you are behind live and offer a way back to the live edge.
• Thumbnails refresh while the stream is live, but there can be a short delay.

If a stream stays black for more than a few seconds, refresh the page or report it so we can investigate.

The marketplace lets users discover and buy physical or digital items from sellers on WhispSocio.

• Buyers should review the listing, seller details, delivery cost, and return information before purchasing.
• Sellers must describe items accurately, dispatch orders on time, and follow consumer law where it applies.
• Payments and seller payouts are handled through supported payment providers such as Stripe.
• Listings that are unsafe, illegal, counterfeit, stolen, misleading, or age-restricted without proper checks are not allowed.

If something goes wrong, contact the seller first, then raise a support request if you need help.

Your rights depend on what you bought, who sold it, and where you live.

• Faulty, misdescribed, unsafe, or undelivered goods should be refunded, replaced, or fixed where the law requires it.
• UK online purchases from business sellers usually include a 14-day cancellation period for physical goods, unless an exemption applies.
• Digital content, coins, gifts, and subscriptions may have different cancellation rules once they are delivered or used.
• Chargebacks can lead to temporary account or order restrictions while the payment dispute is reviewed.

Coins are a virtual balance used for selected digital features, such as gifts, stream tips, battle features, or paid creator experiences where available.

• Coins are not cash and cannot normally be withdrawn or transferred.
• Gifts and tips are digital experiences, not guaranteed payments to a streamer unless a feature clearly says otherwise.
• Used coins and delivered digital items are normally non-refundable unless the law requires a refund.

Always check the price and feature details before confirming a coin or gift purchase.

We collect the information needed to run the platform, protect accounts, process payments, operate live streams, and improve the site.

• Account and profile details, such as email, username, display name, profile image, and bio.
• Content and activity, such as posts, comments, messages, follows, streams, thumbnails, and marketplace listings.
• Technical and analytics data, such as device type, IP-based region, page views, stream quality events, and bot/crawler signals.
• Payment and order status from payment providers where you buy, sell, subscribe, or receive payouts.
